Day 1: Arrival and San Jose City Tour

• Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in San Jose. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring the city’s vibrant culture and delicious cuisine.
• Stay: 2 nights. 
• Hotel: Cultura Plaza, Balmoral or similar. 

 

Day 2: Day Trip. Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfalls, and Coffee Plantation

• Embark on an unforgettable journey to the majestic Poas Volcano, renowned for its breathtaking crater lake. Immerse yourself in the lush cloud forest as you hike through the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, encountering exotic wildlife and cascading waterfalls. Conclude your day with a visit to a traditional coffee plantation, where you’ll learn about the art of coffee production while savoring a delicious cup.

• Return: 5:00pm.

Day 3: Tortuguero National Park Adventure 

• Begin your rainforest adventure with a scenic boat ride to Tortuguero National Park, often called the “Amazon of Costa Rica.” Immerse yourself in the lush greenery as you explore the intricate canal system, searching for exotic wildlife like sloths, monkeys, and colorful birds.
• Stay: 2 nights
• Hotel: Superior Ecolodge. 
• Includes: Breakfast on the route on the first day, all meals in full-board style with breakfasts, lunches, dinners, excursion to the village, tour through the Tortuguero Canals within the national park, lodging, land and water transfers, guide.
• Does not include Entrance to the National Park $17 USD per person, turtle nesting tour (in season).

 

Day 4: Tortuguero Wildlife Encounter

• Morning Tour: Tortuguero Canals Tour. 
• Continue your exploration of Tortuguero National Park, taking guided hikes through the rainforest or enjoying a leisurely boat tour. Keep your eyes peeled for incredible wildlife sightings, including turtles, caimans, and a variety of bird species.

 

Day 5: Caribbean Paradise: Puerto Viejo

• Leave the rainforest behind and head to the vibrant Caribbean coast. Relax on the stunning beaches of Puerto Viejo, soak up the sun, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.
• Transfer to Puerto Viejo
• Stay: 3 nights
• Hotel: Villas del Caribe or similar. Breakfast included. 

 

Day 6: Day Tour-Cahuita National Park: Snorkeling and Hiking

• Experience the underwater world with a snorkeling adventure in Cahuita National Park, home to a diverse array of colorful fish and coral reefs. After your aquatic exploration, embark on a guided hike through the park, encountering lush vegetation and fascinating wildlife.
• Pick-Up time: 08:00am
• Return: 03:00pm approx.
• This incredible tour to Cahuita National Park includes: entrance fees, lunch, transfers, guide, snorkeling, and a hike within the National Park. 

 

Day 7: Puerto Viejo. 

Day 8. Pacuare River White-Water Rafting 2-Day Tour. 

• 2 days of rafting on one of the most scenic rivers in Costa Rica, 100% adrenaline and nature. Includes meals, accommodation at a Rafting Lodge by the river, and 2 days of rafting.
• This authentic rafting experience includes: transfers, guides, breakfasts, lunches, dinner rafting class II, III, IV.

 

Day 9: Rafting Tour

• Last day of rafting. After the tour, transfer to San Jose at the appropriate time.
• Stay: 1 night

Day 10. San Jose-Alajuela
